Their clothes don't rip unless you rip it in pieces like I did by accident. I don't let anyone play with her unless they are very carefull with her. I named her Shannon McFee. I have been collecting Barbies since I was fourteen-years-old and never purchased this one in the past. A few weeks ago I bought this off Ebay, and she is perfect for my collection.

The doll is beautiful and with her blonde bob, flapper dress, pearls, and shoes she captures the 1920s perfectly! Inside the box there is a paragraph detailing life in the 1920s, and a little story describing that Barbie is off to a flapper dance with Ken.

I love this Barbie. She is an incredible reproduction of the 1960 blonde ponytail Barbie wearing a reproduction of the 1959 Evening Splendor Fashion #951, a gold and white metallic brocade dress with matching coat with sleeves trimmed in faux fur. Barbie also has a matching faux fur headband hat with faux pearl trim. Accessories include faux pearl earrings and necklace, white gloves, brown open toed heels, a purse, hanky, and stand. This particular Barbie takes me back to the days when I was young and loved to go to the doll store to purchase Barbies and fashions. I had the 1960 Barbie and the 1959 fashion, but alas they were given away by my mom when I was in college. This reproduction has given me a second chance to own two of my lost treasures. Mattel Barbie Fashion Fever Styling Heads

My daughter is 5 and received the barbie heads for Christmas. She is enjoying playing with it. You may find using pony tail holders and barrettes intended for girls easier to use than the accessories that come with the styling heads. Also, the gitter takes a LONG time to dry, which doesn't have to be big deal, but is nice to know. I'd purchase this toy again though - one of the better versions out there.
