This is an OK doll, but just OK... honestly, how special can another Barbie doll in pink really be? I guess if you're new to collecting something like this might rock your world, but it's such a cliche at this point, and with Barbie struggling for survival, I don't understand why they keep going back to ideas like this...

I wouldn't have bought this if it hadn't been on sale. I mean, there's plenty else to pick from, and for the price the skirt fabric is awfully stiff. She has nice earrings... and yes, she has panties, but who spends all their time looking up a doll's skirt anyway? The drive by media loves to make an issue out of Barbie and underwear from time to time, but other than that, you'll forget she came with underwear whether you leave her NRFB, or you take her out to re-dress.

Ah well... in the end it comes down to whether or not this is your taste. If it is, you'll probably enjoy it. Barbie My Favorite Time Capsule 1967 Twist N' Turn

Out of all 6 of the "My Favourite Barbie" series, the 1967 Twist 'N' Turn Barbie is one of three that are nicely appointed. From the detail of her face paint, the swimsuit, and the 1968 "Zokki!" fashion really make this a nice collector doll in the series. The "Zokki!" fashion doesn't look that great in pictures, but when you see the outfit in the box with the doll, it really pops! The only downside to this doll is that the arms and twist 'n' turn waist move freely, and don't have the tightness that the original Barbies of the '60s & '70s had. However, the legs joined at the hips are tight and the legs click nicely into different positions. As I mentioned earlier, the 1967 is one of three that are nicely put together. The other 2 that I would recommend are the 1959 Barbie, and the 1986 Barbie and the Rockers doll. The worst one of the 6 is the 1971 Malibu Barbie, her head looks compressed at the sides, the arms span out when at her side, which wasn't the way the original was, and her legs look very skinny, making her torso look top heavy. The 1962 Barbie looks more like she has a bad case of bun-head, and not the bubble cut from the early '60s. Finally, the 1977 Superstar Barbie looks different from what I remember. On the repro, her forehead looks too big and the pink dress she is wearing is very baggy, and not form fitting in the chest area. With all the positives and negatives, it's nice to see the Barbies from the different eras represented. This doll is really nice. Although I bought used one it came without problems and it was absolutely like new. The dress is beautiful as well as the face. I am not going to play with it - I need is as an object for drawing so I am very critical about the way it looks. This one is even better than I expected/wanted.
Also it stays pretty stable on it's own stand hired under a dress, but can be taken off the stand to play with or whatever.

I finally received the H.B. barbie doll. I got it for my sister's 70th birthday. Her name is Barbi and I periodically get her one for her birthday. This was the year to get her a special one. I found this one
online and when I received it today the outside box was in great condition but the box that barbie is in was smashed a little and the price on the front said 19.99. Not that bad except the fact I paid 35.00 for it. They charged me 10.00 to post it to me and the stamp said 6.85.
So I paid 45.00. If you add 19.99 and 6.85 rounded off is 27. I understand wanting to make a little on it ofcourse. But you nearly got double. Even 3 bucks on the postage of all things. Can't explain that
except stealing. So for the product inside the box it looks ok but the
hair is different than the one they showed in the picture. I know who I won't be dealing with in the future. Debbie
